Pupil premium

The pupil premium is funding provided to state-funded schools in England to improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. The funding is paid directly to schools.
Schools receive pupil premium funding for pupils who are eligible for free school meals.

This includes children in families with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) who are receiving free school meals.

More information

Further information is available in government guidance on the pupil premium.
