Helping people experiencing homelessness

There are many ways you can help people experiencing homelessness in the borough

Islington’s ambition is that no one should have to sleep on the streets. We work with partners, from across council departments and externally to support those in greatest need.

What you can do

  • Encourage people at risk of homelessness to get early help by contacting the Advice Service by phone 020 7527 6371 or email Advice.Housing@islington.gov.uk

  • Refer people sleeping rough to Streetlink – by phone 0300 500 0914 or via the website www.streetlink.org.uk

  • Buy a copy of the Big Issue to help a registered vendor
