Service changes over May bank holidays

Customer service centre

Access Islington hubs and the customer service line (020 7527 2000) will be closed on Monday 5 May and Monday 26 May. They will re-open on Tuesday at 9am.

Rubbish and recycling

Early May bank holiday collections

There will be no service on Monday 5 May, so collections will take place one day later than normal.

There will be no service on Monday 26 May, so collections will take place one day later than normal.

Reuse and Recycling centre

For Reuse and Recycling centre opening times over the bank holiday, visit the North London Waste Authority website.

Parking enforcement

On Monday 5 May and Monday 26 May, 24-hour offences (for example, double yellow lines, footway, double parking, zig zags, disabled and doctor bays) will be enforced. Moving traffic, bus lanes, and estate parking will also be enforced.

Check vehicle pound opening times during the bank holiday.

Call 020 7527 7624 to report any parking related issues such as illegal parking and abandoned vehicles. This line is open 24 hours a day.

Libraries

All libraries will be closed on Monday 5 May and Monday 26 May.

Birth, death, marriage, and citizenship services

Registrar services are closed on Monday 5 May and Monday 26 May.

An on-call registrar will be available on both bank holidays, Saturdays and Sundays between 9.30am and 12.30pm. They are available for registering deaths and issuing burial certificates for funerals taking place within 24 hours.
